MMMMMMMMMMM.........???????????

Three posts tonight; first two mostly pictures!

MMMMMMMM.....!

These pictures go with the following post, I couldn't seem to add them properly! I love how he is looking cross eyed, then thinks about it with food all over his face and then he seems to say, I like it!

Big Day For Baby ! ! !

Look at little man eating his first foods! OK, OK, so most of it ended up on his face or up his nose, but look how good he did. It was crazy, he saw the spoon coming towards him and immediately opened up. All it is, is formula with rice starch. We do that for 4-6 tablespoons a day for about 2 weeks and then we start on fruits and veggies, (jars/mashed of course) all the while still supplementing formula at about 28 oz a day.
OK, onto his stats: Liam weighs 16 pounds 14 oz and is 25 inches long. Doctor says he looks great and is developing just right. Chris has been going to a Chiropractic Neurologist for his arm and he is making FANTASTIC strides. Well, Chris took Liam with him yesterday and his doc said Liam's "Ocular functioning is above average" meaning his ability to track and recognize objects near and far. I am so proud, sniff, sniff. One more thing, we don't go by weeks when counting Liam's age anymore. So he actually isn't a month older until the 22nd of each month. Taking that into account, he is 5 months on Sunday and according to the books, he is doing some things way ahead of schedule. I was so worried about his progress during tummy time, but during the doc appointment this morning, Doc B put Liam on his tummy and Liam just launched right up into a 90 degree angle and held the position. He was such a ham, laughing at the doc and showing off. No more worries about that, just keep up the tummy time.
Well, Liam is asleep early tonight, kind of fussy rough day, but all in all, really good. The doc says his waking up every 2-3 hours is just for comfort not for food, so after he feels better, maybe a day or so, I am to only give him one, bigger bottle in the middle of the night. Although it will be hard at first, because he will cry until he relearns what is going on, I can't wait for the extra sleep. Tonight I will give him comfort every hour if that is what he needs, he earned it! Well, dinner is ready, Chris made it because he is concerned Liam will have a rough night so therefore so will I, what a sweetie. I am going to bed at 9pm--gotta watch CSI! Til later guys!

I am Dreading Tomorrow

Liam has his shots tomorrow at 10:30ish. I hate that he has a rough day after but the actual scream/crying when he gets the shots is what I am most not looking forward to. My little guy is so happy, so much of the time it is going to be a yucky day. Luckily this time I know I can give him Tylenol right away. So, Liam is doing great with his bottle feeding. He doesn't complain unless it is cold. Then he gags on it and refuses. It is quite dramatic. I took some great pictures of Liam on his new stationary entertainer, I will post those tomorrow. He really likes it. He can bounce and spin. He liked the walker, but I didn't like how his feet dangled mid air. This new one his feet touch the little platform. Speaking of feet, Liam's new thing is to take his own socks off. He works dilligently and persistently taking it off with his the toes of one foot, hooking into the opposite heel and he is very single minded until he gets them off. Very dexterious toesies! Please pray for little guy, (more than normal!) and thank you guys! Til tomorrow.

His First Time in a High Chair ! ! !

We went out to lunch with a friend and her son and Liam sat in a high chair for the first time. I took a lot of pictures. He was soooo good! I got video of him talking so loud to show Chris, it was hilarious. We had lunch at Red Robin. I put some cantalope juice on Liam's tongue and he liked it. Next we went to Barnes and Nobles and got a Noah's Ark book similar to the one Auntie Carolyn bought Liam for Christmas with little pull out foam pieces and we got Baby's First Prayers which is the sequel to the yelllow Baby's First Bible that Grandmalinda bought. Remember with all the neat pictures I took of Liam? This one is blue. Then we went to Babies R Us and I went insane. But not totally. I really wanted to buy Liam this Excersaucer because he loves his walker but his feet don't hit the floor and in the Excersaucer he could spin and jump, but I knew Chris would talk me out of it so I hurried up and called him and he agreed, it was a bit much for now. So I got some baby bottles, (now we like Avent), some PJs, and bibs. All in all I was very well behaved! Well, that is all for now, bye.

I Think He is Going to be a Dentist...

Liam LOVES to watch me brush my teeth. He just gets this bemused look on his face and is just mesmerized. Every time! Funny. So I tried really hard to get his teeth in a picture, this is the best I could get. Soon I won't have to even try, they come out more each day. Well, til later, guys!!!!

Few More Pictures (3 new posts today!)

There are 2 other posts below this one. Love ya!

Love From Liam Land

Hello all! Liam has been having a few really good days; relief from teething pain. It is nice to know even though this will be an off and on thing for quite some time, that there will in fact be an off time! So Liam's new favorite thing is viewing the world upside down. He loves to be held and then tilt his head back really far. Sometimes we have to cut him off because his little head turns beet red! He also does this funny thing where he sucks on his tongue or lower lip. We call it his "old man with no teeth face" I may have already mentioned it in a previous post, but it sure makes us laugh! Chris said the sweetest thing about Liam the other night. "It's like getting a new toy, but the newness never goes away." He is such a good Dad. Liam just lights up when he comes home. Well that is all for now. Loving you all!

Wow, He Sure Has Grown!

Look at the difference in size from when he first got here--same swing, bigger baby!

Tooth Watch 2006 ! ! !

So we had a very good day today. None of the evening fussiness we usually have. I am hoping that since the teeth have broken through, he will an easier time of it for awhile. Chris is tucking Liam into bed with his night time bottle. Other than that, not much news here in Liam-land! Love you all!

Friend or Foe?

Look at my little man in his walker. Sure his feet don't hit the ground but, look how cute he is! Right after these pictures were taken the battery died in my camera, and THEN he started enjoying the walker. At first he was so not into it---doesn't he look he is saying, "What the heck am I supposed to be doing?" Or "I don't know if I trust this thing, the palm tree looks like it is up to no good." Then once he realized he could reach out and touch the toys, he got excited. He kept trying to lean forward and bite everything. Speaking of bite, guess what? His two bottom teeth have broken through! So far you can only feel them, and see the very top of them, but not see them when he smiles. Any day now I will be sending you a picture of a brand new toothy grin! Gotta go, love ya!

We've Come A Long Way Baby

Liam is FIVE months old today!!!!!!! Look how he can grab and hold onto the elephant Auntie Carolyn got him. He is so much fun. Liam and Chris did just fine last night without me. I was very glad. As far as dispatching went, I did just fine on my first 12 hour shift in about 7 months. Just like riding a bike. A rusty one wheeled rickety old bike. I slept all day today and I am still tired. Oh--news! Liam has 2 bottom teeth about to break the surface! I put orajel on them tonight and they are breaking through. I think they could be here any day. The baby orajel works, so that is nice for him. Well that is all for now. Loving you all!

Today's Liam Fix

Hello all! Today Liam, Xena and I went to the park. We had a lot of fun. Then Chris joined us after work and what was soooooo neat, is Liam recognized him from far away, walking towards us and just grinned at him!
Tomorrow I am working a 12 hour shift and we 3 could use your prayers. Liam is still on a bottle strike, so I am a bit nervous. I am sure we will be fine. All three tired, as the shift is 7pm til 7am, but fine. The picture of Liam in the all blue outfit asleep, was him konked out on Daddy's lap. Liam went to sleep with no tears tonight! We got it right finally! And now I am ruining it by abandoning him tomorrow night! WAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!Loving you all!

Mirror, Mirror on the....Floor, Who's the Cutest Baby of Them All?

LIAM!!!!!!! Look at my little lambchop, he is so cute! Except from the hours of 4pm til bedtime and from 10pm until 6am where he wakes up for meals every 2 hours. Right now he is teething so he is very irritable in the evenings. No teeth on the horizon, just general teething.
We went for a walk today and I met some more of my neighbors with kids. I like this neighborhood. Well that is all for now!
