I just put Liam down for his afternoon nap and it took almost 30 minutes for him to wind down. Poor little guy, I know he was tired. Whoops, he just started up again... He has a bit of a tummy ache today; we just found out another reason they call first foods, "solids". So here are some silly pictures of Liam hamming it up for the camera. The second I brought it out he started grinning. The last picture is Liam kicking Riley's feet, which both parties involved seemed to find very fun. Oh and un update on one of Liam's stats, his weight is 19 pounds, 14 oz, so he is almost 20 pounds, my dad was right. He is a sturdy one.

Joshua

Doesn't Liam's second cousin look like him? I definitely see a resemblence!

Liam's Stats

Liam had his doctor's appointment on Monday. I had to work, but Chris says it went just fine. When the doctor asked if Liam had tried crawling at all Chris replied, "No, and we think he might not. Maybe he will just go right to walking." The doctor put Liam on his stomach and Liam promptly scooted down the table! Reminded me of the time I put Liam on his stomach a few visits ago and told the doc he wasn't pushing up yet, and Liam just launched right into a 90 degree angle. I guess he likes to show off for our doc! So Liam is 7 1/2 months, 27 inches long and 19 1/2 pounds. Perfectly proportioned and not to chunky, says the pediatrician who honestly looks not a day over 12.... Here are some pictures Chris took on the day of the appointment. Chris said they had a really fun time and Liam never cried. Just yelled at the nurse for poking him. Love to all.

From the Desk of Liam

Dear Friends and Family,

I was just sitting here, catching up on a few emails and thought I would write a few lines. After all it is my blog, I guess. Not much to say... I am excited about Grandpa and Grandma C moving up here to be near me. Hard not to get a big head, (bigger head?) what with all the family doting on me! Well, I gotta go, it is waaaay past my bed time. Goodnight!

Love, Liam

MMMMMMMMMMM Chicken Noodle

Phase 2 foods began this week and you are looking at one satified customer! After finishing his own meal, he helped Daddy with the BBQ, but was quite dismayed to find he would not be receiving a hamburger. Oh well, playing with the spatula was fun too!

Yay, Little Man! ! !

Liam did quite a lot of voluntary tummy time today! AND he never cried when he was on his stomach, he just flipped right over when he was done playing! Every time! Cool!

Come Gentle Readers

Look at little man, so grown up and reading to himself. Look how he crosses his ankles! Too funny! He looks like he is saying, "Well hello there, welcome to my book club. Come lets sit by the fire and discuss our latest selection of Hemmingway." Liam can sit up, unassisted for longer and longer each day. He is really hard to entertain lately. He has his own ideas and opinions of what he wants to happen, and yet without being able to convey them, he often gets frustrated. We kind of just have to try everything until we get it right. He does like to sit up "alone" a lot now, but by "alone" It means I have to sit right there for now and catch him. Other new developements; both Chris and I have seen him roll ONTO his stomach. Once. Also he can get off of his stomach really fast now, about half the time consistantly. I honestly think he will be able to do that 99% of the time within a week or two, because when he does do it correctly, he is like BOING! Lightening fast. His naps are getting longer and he is pretty much down to just one in the morning and one in the afternoon. I take the morning one with him and in the afternoon, I have a little "me" time. Which I usually spend.....sleeping.....But I fully intend to use it doing something that I really want to do, just for me. It just so happens that, for now, all I want to do, is sleep!
