Yay, Little Man! ! !

Liam did quite a lot of voluntary tummy time today! AND he never cried when he was on his stomach, he just flipped right over when he was done playing! Every time! Cool!

Come Gentle Readers

Look at little man, so grown up and reading to himself. Look how he crosses his ankles! Too funny! He looks like he is saying, "Well hello there, welcome to my book club. Come lets sit by the fire and discuss our latest selection of Hemmingway." Liam can sit up, unassisted for longer and longer each day. He is really hard to entertain lately. He has his own ideas and opinions of what he wants to happen, and yet without being able to convey them, he often gets frustrated. We kind of just have to try everything until we get it right. He does like to sit up "alone" a lot now, but by "alone" It means I have to sit right there for now and catch him. Other new developements; both Chris and I have seen him roll ONTO his stomach. Once. Also he can get off of his stomach really fast now, about half the time consistantly. I honestly think he will be able to do that 99% of the time within a week or two, because when he does do it correctly, he is like BOING! Lightening fast. His naps are getting longer and he is pretty much down to just one in the morning and one in the afternoon. I take the morning one with him and in the afternoon, I have a little "me" time. Which I usually spend.....sleeping.....But I fully intend to use it doing something that I really want to do, just for me. It just so happens that, for now, all I want to do, is sleep!

A Want Ad For My Dream Guy

Wanted: Young lady in search of her Mr. Right. Must be friendly, outgoing, and not afraid of a good cry. I am not looking for physical perfection. In fact, a guy with a pot belly, small bald patch and a drooling problem would be a welcome change. Extreme flatulence a must. Seeking a special someone who is not afraid to yell, when he doesn't get his own way. Someone who is not afraid to be PAMPERed. Minor drinking problems are OK. Waiting for someone to share a bottle with, while we watch a movie, who enjoys long car rides and is a back seat driver. I enjoy long walks and want to be able to push him around. Poor cooridination and inability to multi-task a plus. Absolute lack of patience and short attention span, would be a dream come true. Strong resemblence to the Michelin Man, desired. Must love dogs. Do you know of any special someones that match this description?

What can I say, I have already found my Mr. Right.

A Boy And His Dog

Liam loves the dogs. You may think I am laid back with their interaction, but I assure you I am not. Especially if Liam is low to the ground. I feel pretty confident he is safe when he is in his entertainer or up higher but I will stay on guard otherwise. With that in mind please enjoy Liam's love for his someday best bud, Riley. You gotta love how she just stands there while he pulls on her skin! And I love the one with her looking at his diaper and he has his hands on his hips, like he is saying, "Yup, they make me wear this thing. Why can't I go au natural like you guys?" and Riley is thinking, "I am going to eat that diaper if they put it in the trash....Again..." Ewwwww, Riley!

Where Did My Tiny Baby Go?

Has anyone seen my tiny baby? Anyone at all? Someone snuck into my home in the middle of the night and replaced my tiny baby with a little boy. NOOOOOOO!!!!!!! He is changing too fast! I remember the days long ago where my tiny baby, would stare up adoringly at me. Content, just to look up at my face. This new little boy, has opinions! And he is fiesty! I dare you to take away something he wants. You will hear a howl like you wouldn't believe. This little boy likes peas and pears, cantalope and sweet potatoes, but don't you dare try to give him plain cereal. This little boy likes the color yellow and songs and constantly wants to be outside. Where did my tiny baby go that just lay there, happy to watch me clean and cook? Now when I eat something, there are five sets of eyes begging for my food, and trust me when I say the dogs are far more subtle about it. Have you seen my tiny baby? I miss him so, but I would move heaven and earth just to hear this little boy belly laugh...Oh, all right, I miss my tiny baby, but this little boy, he takes my breath away.

Thanks for the Gifts!

Auntie Carolyn and Uncle Jim got Liam this festive shirt and Shamrockin' hat! I have also added some pictures of Liam in his adorable Baseball Jersey. And onto the hat; can't you just picture Liam wearing this sun hat, with some board shorts, playing in the sand this summer? I can. With his little Buddah belly hanging over the shorts? Can't wait. Well, yes I can, but it will still be fun!

Lions, Tigers (But No Bears...), Oh My ! ! !

Here are a few pictures of our trip to the zoo yesterday. The young lady in the picture with Liam is his very good friend Kara. Liam seemed to enjoy himself quite a bit. I think he enjoyed seeing Kara more than the animals, but that is OK!

Meet Jerry The Big Giraffe

"His neck is looooooong, his legs are strooooooong." This is how the song goes that I always sing to Liam. Liam LOVES Jerry the Giraffe. So it is with great pleasure that I present you with some pictures of Jerry in his natural habitat. I also added one of Liam watching the other giraffes, with interest. Most of the time when we pointed at animals, he looked at our fingers, but he really looked at the giraffes, the reptiles, the lion and the giant ant eater. He really watched the lion because he was pacing and roaring. I couldn't get a picture of the lion because he wouldn't stand still and pose. The nerve! We had a great day. This zoo trip was so neat.

Happy Saint Patrick's Day ! ! !

And happy wedding anniversary to Mom and Pop C!

Liam's shirt says "Flogging Molly" that is an Irish folk band not an idea for violence! We people do have a temper, so I thought I would specify! Love you all.
