Aren't they too cute!

Liam in his toddler bed and watching his buddy Sean in the toddler bed. Too much fun! This bed was a bargain, I love it.

"It says here, this is ok for baby."

Doesn't he look like he is reading the label?

How To Give Your Mom a Heart Attack

Liam has been sleeping better and longer. Last night he slept thru the night. Today during his nap I think I found out why. I stood here a very long time to make sure he was breathing before taking this picture. Guess, he no longer hates "tummy time!!"

Allow Me to Point Out a Few Things

1. Apparently I didn't notice my son's face was covered in dried peach mash before taking these pictures...

2. Chris dressed Liam, in this lovely blue henley with tan overalls, but don't mistake this ensemble for an "outfit"

3. Liam will be crawling any day now

4. We find Liam in really strange places in his crib, ie. all the way at the top, or upside down, in the letter L on his side, waving his Thumper rabbit around while still sleeping, with his feet in the air. Laughing to himself. Very entertaining.

5. You may think he is leaning in to give you a kiss, but he will bite you.

6. He pinches the dogs cheeks.

7. They don't care.

8. He chews his food.

9. There is nothing in his food, yet that requires chewing.

10. His hair is almost identical color to dad's

11. His eyes, to mine

12. His first work is going to be "dada"

13. I don't mind at all.

Such a Big Boy!

Look how well, Liam is sitting up now! Oh don't get me wrong, he still falls over, but not right away anymore. In fact, I left him here and ran into the other room for about a minute and he was still sitting when I came back. He isn't really trying to scooch or crawl. He gets to objects out of reach by rolling over and over til he is close enough. He finally rolls onto his stomach, on purpose, a lot. This morning I put him down for his nap early so we could make it to church at 10:45, but by 11:15 he still had not woke up. I opened the blinds, cleared my throat, sat down heavily on the bed--he was out! Finally I decided I would just pick him up and carry him out to the car, sleeping, then change his diaper in the nursery at church. He opened his eyes and rubbed them. Looked up at me confused and then grinned. He is such a cutie! Well, gotta go for now, I am at work.

Mama's Little Jarhead

Don't get me wrong, I love Liam's new haircut. His hair was so long, I had been trimming it since he came into the world sporting a rat tail. However, after careful inspection I realized it looked like he got into an argument with a weed wacker....and lost. His high and tight was, loose and wide. Do you have any idea how hard it is to cut an eight month old's hair? They do not sit still! So yesterday Chris did an amazing job fixing his lil Marine 'do. He still calls it a "barracks cut" but it is really pretty good. Only bad part is right in the front there is this jagged line of hair, from when Liam turned to look at the razor. Oh well, nothing a little hair gel can't help. Or a hat....

Little Man's First Haircut

Oh boy, he did not like having his head shaved! Little man now has a mini-Marine haircut and he looks so handsome!
You might think 8 months is a bit young for his having a haircut, but it was sooo long I was having to tuck it behind his ears! He gets that and rapid growing nails from Chris. Stinky feet from me. I mean honestly, how can someone's feet smell so bad when he doesn't even wear shoes????

The Perfect Day

To me the perfect day would be sitting out on my front porch, with family and beautiful weather. My perfect day would be breezy and warm. Liam would be playing happily beside me and Chris would be nearby. I had that day today. I sat on my front porch on the bench, playing crosswords, smiling happily as I watched Chris wash the truck and Liam while he babbled contentedly in his walker next to me. I was happy as I thought of everything going on in my life. I don't know if I mentioned it on Liam's blog, but in just 10 short days the Grandma and Grandpa C are coming to stay! For good! They are moving in just a few short miles away, and we can't wait! When I tell people this, the very first thing that EVERYONE asks is, "Do you like your in laws?" Nope. I ADORE MY IN LAWS. This was just as much, if not more, my idea than anyones. I cannot wait until they get here! Ten more days, ten more days, ten more days, TEN MORE DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nah, I don't like them at all :)

Jesus is the Reason.....

I love this blog. I like to put Liam's achievements and pictures, and silly costumes and antecdotes on this blog. Today is different. I don't ever want to forget that all of these things come from Jesus. Liam is a precious gift given to me by HIM. I will raise Liam up to be a good Christian man. That is my job. I know he is on loan and I know he doesn't really "belong" to me and I take that very seriously. When I look at my tiny son and think that Mary once looked down at Jesus at this age, it is so humbling. To know God loved us so much, He gave His son so we could all be together, is amazing. We can never get close to repaying Him, and He doesn't care, He did this anyway. So I say thank you. Thank you for my son, my family, my husband, my house, my life, every incredible moment is a gift. Thank you God!

Hoppy Easter ! ! !

OK, here is my little Bunny Boy! Chris saw these and said, "Oh, no" but I couldn't resist! Isn't he an adorabunny!!!!!! So here is the current update; Liam now rolls ONTO his stomach and he does scooch a little but more than that he rolls over and over again to get closer to an object, it's really funny! At church breakfast this morning I put him in their baby walker and he was going all over. He either pushed off backwards or threw his body forward and then stepped, threw forward and stepped. Sooo at home we tried to lower his walker and it DID have a lower level, I was so excited! He only goes backwards at home. He went about 4 feet and Chris and I were saying, "Bye, bye, thanks for coming!" and he would laugh! Well that is all for now! Loving you all!!!!!

PLAY TIME

My friend Dorothy brought her two kids, Trevor and Taylor to come play! We went to the park. Here are some pictures of Trev and Liam. Not sure Trevor liked Liam grabbing at him. The picture of Trevor in the walker is really funny because, when we weren't looking he climbed into it all by himself!

UMMMMM....WHAT THE HECK IS THAT ?????

And meet Taylor! Liam wasn't sure at first....

ARE YOU LOOKIN' AT ME?

IS THAT A FLOWER ? ? ?

I DON'T HAVE FLOWERS ON MY CLOTHES... AND WHAT'S WITH ALL THE PINK? I DON'T HAVE PINK.....

"HE'S TOUCHING ME!!!!!"

I NEED TO SEE HER UP CLOSE....
